AusCAP and Angelflight PDF Print E-mail

AusCAP conducted a successful Angelflight mission to Cootamundra on Thursday 19-Jul.  The patient had been attending the Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney for chemotherapy treatment. An Angelflight "Earth Angel" conducted the ground transport from the Hospital to our HQ at Bankstown. From there, two AusCAP pilots transferred the passenger into a Cessna 172RG and conducted the flight out of Bankstown under the Angelflight banner, departing approximately 1030am EST. An uneventful VFR flight was hampered only by strong South Westerly winds which had us into Cootamundra around midday. Our passenger travelled well and we were all surprised at the rare sight of snow on the ranges West of Sydney (courtesy of a recent cold front).

AusCAP is planning additional Angelflight missions over the coming weeks.
